Open Access Endoscopy

Home / Info for GP’s / Open Access Endoscopy

Open access endoscopy is where the referring doctor, usually a GP, discusses with the patient: the procedure; the procedure risks; risks specific to the patient; anaesthetics/sedation; and the risks of not having the procedure. The patient will not normally see the doctor who is performing the procedure prior to their admission date.

The form below can be completed by the GP or referring doctor and faxed or emailed to Specialists on Drummond. We will then contact the patient directly to make the booking and provide preparation information.
